Retail Engine

The 9pm enquiry, answered before you've locked up.

An enquiry lands from carsales at 9:47pm. Dealerloop reads your live stock, answers with the car's real price and kilometres, works the buyer to a time that suits, and hands your team a warm lead with the whole thread attached.

  • Grounded in your live stock. It quotes the car you have, at the price you set.
  • Books into your calendar, then chases quietly until they show.
  • Hands over to a named salesperson with the full story, not a notification.

Acquisition Engine

It buys the next car, too.

A private seller messages at lunchtime. Dealerloop captures the car in the conversation, rego, kilometres, condition and photos, gives them a range rather than a number they will hold you to, and books the appraisal onto your hoist before the marketplaces get near them.

  • Captures the car in conversation: rego, kilometres, condition, photos.
  • Speaks in a range, never a point value, and a person sets that range.
  • Books the appraisal on your hoist, so the stock pipeline stays yours.

Dealerloop's AI

It reads your stock. It does not run a script.

Every reply comes out of your live stock: the model, the kms, the price you set. When a buyer asks for something that is not the AI's call, it says so, and it gets a person.

Illustrative conversation. Dealerloop Motors is a fictional dealership in Bentley, WA.

  • Grounded in your live stock

It quotes the car you actually have, at the price you actually set. If it sold this morning, it says so and offers what is still on the ground.

  • Hands over with the whole story

A named salesperson gets the full thread, not a notification. They walk up knowing the car, the questions asked and what was promised.

  • Compliant by default

Australian Spam Act opt-out on every message, quiet hours respected. Ask for a human and the AI steps aside.

Plugged in

Every lead source, one conversation.

Wherever the enquiry starts, it lands in the same thread, answered from the same live stock.

We model a 30% close rate; Foureyes reports 40% to 59% in the US, 2024 to 2026. Gross is Deloitte's 2026 Australian used-vehicle benchmark.

How we calculate this

No Australian equivalent to the Foureyes close-rate data is published, so we hold our figure below every published benchmark rather than at it. Deloitte's figure reflects benchmark rather than average performance. Not counted: finance, insurance, aftermarket, service or any downstream revenue on the same customer, and no benchmark exists for the buying side. Your own numbers are what we work through on the demo.

Straight answers

The questions every dealer principal asks.

Will it make things up to a buyer?

No. Every reply is grounded in your live inventory feed: it only ever quotes cars you actually have, at the prices you've set, and it never quotes or negotiates beyond your listed figure. It will never deny a car that's in stock, and if it's unsure, it hands to a human rather than guessing.

Do my salespeople lose the lead?

The opposite. The AI does the 9pm shift and the chasing, then hands a warm, qualified buyer to a named rep with the whole story attached: vehicle, trade-in, finance, timeframe. Your team can take over any conversation live, at any moment.

What does it cost?

Each engine, Retail and Acquisition, is $99 per rooftop per month, ex GST, month to month. Beyond that you pay per appointment the AI books and the customer honours: $20 each for the first 100 in a month, $15 to 500, $10 beyond. No-shows are never billed, messages are never billed, and every capability on that side is included at the $99 price: no module tiers and no add-ons.

What's the difference between the Retail Engine and the Acquisition Engine?

The Retail Engine runs the selling side: it answers buyer enquiries from your live stock and books test drives. Dealerloop Acquisition runs the buying side: it answers people offering you their car, captures the vehicle and books the appraisal. They're separate platforms, each $99 a month, sharing one inbox and one calendar.

Can I run just one engine?

Yes. Each engine stands alone at $99 per rooftop per month. Most dealers start with the side that hurts most and switch the other on later. Running one never commits you to both.

Is automated messaging even compliant?

It's built for Australian compliance from the ground up: Spam Act consent handling, automatic STOP processing on every channel, suppression and do-not-contact checks, quiet hours in your timezone, and clear AI disclosure. A handful of rules can never be switched off, no matter what anyone types.

Does it replace my DMS?

No, and it doesn't try to. Dealerloop owns engagement, timing and lifecycle; your DMS keeps the deal, the money and the customer master. Events push across as they happen, and we'll scope deeper two-way DMS integration with you on the demo.

How long does it take to go live?

Days, not months. It sits alongside what you already run, so there's nothing to rip out: connect your lead sources, load your stock feed, and it starts answering.

What if it doesn't work for us?

You're never locked in. Month to month, cancel with 30 days' notice, no exit fees, and your leads and conversations are exportable in full at any time. You stay because it works, not because you're trapped.

Next step

See it running on your own stock.

Fifteen minutes on a call. We point Dealerloop's AI at your live inventory, you watch it answer a 9pm enquiry and book the test drive, then you decide.
